Location: Brisbane Australia

>  A field testing plant was established in Brisbane, Australia to demonstrate the capability of the HYDROXON™ process in terms of water quality, energy consumption and cost of the treatment.

>  Scope of the field test was to treat the water from the Brisbane River to comply with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG).

>  Raw water was collected upstream of the intake of West Bank Water Treatment Plant.

Energy comparison

>  Energy consumption for the field testing plant was on average 0.58 kWh per 1000 liters of treated water.  This would decrease further for larger capacity HYDROXON ™ treatment systems.As a comparison, the rated capacity of ordinary household power points is 2.3kW – 4 times more than that of the HYDROXON ™ treatment system.

Footprint

>  The size of the HYDROXON ™ system with the same treatment capacity as a conventional plant would be 4 times smaller.
